Who knew Danity Kane member Dawn Richard had someHaitian descent. Dawn is on the cover of one of the hottest Haitian magazine. Apparently in the interview she addresses the future of Danity Kane, Hurricane Katrina and her Haitian descent.
Being from Haitian descent myself I can definitely appreciate it. Go pick up your copy of Amour Creole it's in stores now.
I recently went back home to Florida and of course as always, I am the last to know of music crazes. But I was definitely put on game about an up and coming Haitian rapper named Black Dada. I'm unsure of whether he places himself into the rapper category because his style is mostly singing, sort of like T-Pain just a bit more suave and not as animated. February 25, 2009 Black Dada represented Broward County, South Florida and Haitians everywhere with his first appearance on BET's 106th and Park. If you haven't heard the song before here's a clip from his BET performance, it's catchy don't be surprised if your singing right along "Ima Zoe."
