Jay Z Comments On Kanye West VMA's Behavior

Jay Z speaks up and defends Kanye. Check out what Jay had to say according to BBC:

Rapper Jay-Z has defended “super passionate” Kanye West for his outburst at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.West, 32, interrupted Taylor Swift’s award speech to tell the crowd her award for best female video should have gone to Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce.Speaking to Radio 1’s Jo Whiley, Jay-Z said West’s behaviour had been “rude” but added: “He didn’t kill anybody”.West has since apologised to Swift, but President Barack Obama called him a “jackass” in an off-the-cuff comment.Jay-Z did concede the incident had been “inappropriate at the time”. But, as West’s former mentor, he added: “He’s just a super-passionate person”.The 39-year-old, who will support Coldplay at Wembley Stadium this weekend, said: “Of course it was rude because it was her moment but that’s the way he really felt.“I think it was rude but the way they’re treating him… He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed.”

Wow, as if the entire world hasn't already had their two cents to say about Kanye West situation, what surprises me the most is that President Barack Obama commented on it?? What has the world come too? Apparently, the comments were suppose to be off records where President Obama called Kanye a jackass! I'm not sure if I think that it was his place to make a comment! Especially, since healthcare reform is such a prevalent issue! People let's get our priorities togeþher! I'm praying for Kanye! Let's recognize when someone needs help, stop judging so harshly!

Dear Kanye,

I met you a while ago… before you were ermmm “Kanye”… you once got on my tour bus to make sure I was ok before a show. I’d come down with a crazy cold and thought I wasn’t able to go on that night… I thought it was really sweet that you were concerned. Matter of fact, it was House of Blues Myrtle Beach when Floetry were opening up for you. We had so much fun on the road, you were so cool, you knew all the words to Mase “Harlem World” album, we had jokes bout that :).

Time has passed and things have changed… still, when our paths have crossed, you haven’t hesitated to say “What up” which is cool. I’m not sure what exactly has caused you to do and say the outlandish things that you have said and done and can only speculate. I wish you well, always have and well you have done… just not so much right now. Today, I received more calls, texts, emails, bbms about you… “Kanye did it again” “F*ck Kanye” “Kanye is finished” I didn’t even see it… but based on past occurrences, I could only imagine… seriously… TAYLOR SWIFT??? Mid speech, thanking God, parents and fans… recalling in a moment her journey, what she had been through to get to her moment… and your ignorant arrogant ass made an ass of everything you represent.

I was embarrassed… I support you, your art… my nephew is 5 and wants to be you for Halloween… how could you??? That wasn’t your moment… you made a fool of the position you have been fortunate and blessed to be in, the millions of people who love what it is that you do and look to you as an example, you EMBARRASSED US ALL… smh… had many people just shaking heads. you made it easier for those who have waited for you to fail, to fall, to let you do so… DO BETTER!!! AIM HIGHER!!!

I couldn't have said it better myself. But let's keep in mind that what Kanye West said is NOT a race issue, he spoke his mind, just at the wrong time! Now, I'm reading how certain groups of people are trying to make this a black vs white thing and my advice to you is JUST STOP IT! Joe Wilson called the President of the United States "a liar" and it didn't make nearly this much noise. Set your priorities straight, yes Kanye was wrong but it's definitely not a race issue.

Let's do better people.

Lil Mama Acted A Fool At The VMAs!

Tonight, on the VMA's people were just acting really crazy! Jay Z and Alicia Keys are doing a great performance doing the new New York anthem, "Empire State of Mind" and out of nowhere at the end of performance, Lil Mama is standing there posing......

Not sure if this was apart of the performance so my question to Lil Mama is WHY? Why did you do that? If you didn't know, Twitter spares no one, immediately after her stunt she became a trending topic.

Maybe it was a publicity stunt, either way Lil Mama I think you and Kanye should get it together!

Kanye West Acts A Fool At The VMAs!

Kanye West has done it again, act a fool that is. Tonight, on MTV's VMA Awards (which were pretty *yawn* if you ask me, the only thing that kept it so entertaining was the drama with Kanye and the constant outfit changes from Lady Gaga), Kanye snatches the mic from Taylor Swift who won "Best Video Award," over Beyonce. He jumped on the stage, took the mic and said no disrespect to Taylor Swift but Beyonce was better. Now, even though MANY of us were thinking the same thing, his ignorance was uncalled for. Kanye, you need a good ole' fashion butt whooping! The kind, when your mother, grandmother sends you out in the backyard to go get them a switch! Twitter went crazy over the Kanye-Taylor situation! Concrete Loop, did inform us that Kanye had been drinking Hennesey all night, so perhaps he was intoxicated (still no excuse). Kanye and Amber Rose were both asked to leave the awards.

However, BIG UPS to Hov's wifey, Beyonce for being such a classy lady and calling Taylor Swift back on the stage to give her acceptance speech. That was a class act and speaks wonders about Beyonce's character and makes Kanye look like a donkey! Kanye, get it together quickly sir. You were entertaining tonight, but let's stop the madness. By the way, was it just me or was Amber Rose a bit off tonight? She seemed in space and didn't look her usual fab self! Here's a clip below:



Later on, Kanye did post an apology to his fans and to Taylor Swift!


What a night. The VMAs were nothing but drama!

Jay-Z graces the cover of XXL and discusses the meaning behind "D.O.A." and responds to critics:

“I’m not hating on young people. Like, when people say that, I’m like, What are you talking about? It’s just stupid. I’m not hating on young people… I’m not Bill Russell, [saying] Michael Jordan ain’t shit. I’m saying Lil Wayne and Kanye are like LeBron and Kobe. Lady Gaga = Confusion!

How confused are you at Lady Gaga's latest remarks? Homegirl, definitely said she was a hermophodite. I really hoped that her remarks were simply a publicity stunt but she stunned me again with what she said to Kanye West after agreeing to join his tour this fall. Lady Gaga:

“I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay”.

Are you serious? Whether her comments are a desperate act to get headline in the tabloids/blogs or really geniuine. I think that we can all agree that she leaves us all: CONFUSED. We still love your music, chica.... However, we are a bit afraid of what you might say next!

I'm bias I love Jay Z and I am counting down til the Blueprint 3 (September 11)! Check this new song out.... btw Kanye RIPS his verse,..and oh Rihanna isn't too bad either!

Boring Grammys!

Absolutely a bore. The most exciting thing about the Grammy was who actually didn't show up do to their own personal controversy, i.e. Rihanna and Chris Brown. It seems like the awards ceremony was longer than usual. I honestly believe that those in attendance watching this horrible Grammys were bored out of their minds. Highlights of the show: Jennifer Hudson's acceptance speech for R&B Album of the Year. Jennifer thanked "her family in heaven." Other key moments includes Swagga Like Us performance with Jay Z, T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne and the OHH SOO pregnant, MIA. Even though their performance was amazing, it still was not enough to make four or five hours of boredom turn into excitement. Huge yawn...I will not be watching next year!
